The purpose of a vacuum filter is to filter the slurry or pulp, using a vacuum as the drying agent to pull the moisture from the slurry and create a filter cake of solids. Vacuum filters operate continuously. Filtering time is dependent on cake thickness, temperature and density of the pulp. We offer multiple design options and customisations to meet your process requirements, such as washing or steam addition.

The three main vacuum filter designs comprise belt filters, disc filters and drum filters. Our product offering includes:
- Horizontal belt filters
Can be applied to many different slurries, including fibrous materials, fine slimes and coarse granular solids. These vacuum filters provide high extraction efficiency, low cake moisture, increased production, and reduced operating costs, while achieving maximum filtration area.
- Disc filters
Slurry and mechanically agitated; best used when dewatering free-settling solids to form a non-binding cake, especially applicable where large filtration areas are required. We also offer an efficient line of large-diameter disc filters, press belt drum filters, precoat drum filters, and lime mud filters.
- Drum filters
Available in standard or custom-engineered designs, with an extra-heavy-duty version also available. The unique capabilities of drum filters provide the widest application range of any continuous vacuum filter, offering the operating flexibility to handle either dewatering, washing or clarification applications.
- Horizontal pan filter
Applies advanced technology for economic filtration of fast-filtering products. This is a continuous vacuum filter designed for economic filtration of granular, fibrous and coarse fast-settling solids, including cake washing and drying, if required.
- Indexing belt filter
Versatile filtration and modular design. This is a vacuum dewatering filter specifically developed for cost-effective liquid-solid separation in demanding process environments.
- Solvent oil and propane dewaxers
Designed and constructed for the most efficient method of processing petroleum base oil lubricating stocks to produce wax-free oil and oil-free wax. Propane dewaxing is used where refinery logistics prefer available propane over other solvents.
