Our manual sieve shakers have proven their ability as consistent performers. Designed to last and built from quality materials, they can be relied upon in the harshest of settings and can accommodate a wide range of sample materials.

 

Regardless of the manual sieve shaker you choose, the function is the same. They use a shaking motion to move particles down through a series of test sieves in a stack. The coarser materials are retained higher in the stack and the finer materials fall to the bottom.

 

All our manual sieve shakers deliver consistent, repeatable results that are substantially more reproducible than hand sieving.

  • Octagon 200 Sieve Shaker – its lightweight features make this sieve shaker portable, and with no moving mechanical parts, it is also an affordable and low-maintenance option.

Manual sieve shakers that produce reproducible results

Essa® OST450 Sieve Shaker

Our Essa OST450 Sieve Shaker is a real workhorse making it well suited to settings that require a heavy-duty laboratory screen to process larger volumes of minerals, including iron ore and coal. Designed for floor mounting, it is suited for use with up to eight 450 mm diameter wire mesh test sieves, or up to ten 450 mm diameter standard perforated plate or wire mesh test sieves.

 

Circular sieving for optimum screening

The sieve stack is oscillated in a circular motion in the horizontal plane by a three-phase 1.5 kW electric motor driving to a mechanical cam system. A positive vertical component of motion is also imparted to the sieve stack by an electromagnetic vibrator integrated into the oscillating table to ensure optimum screening efficiency.

 

Easy and remote operation

The Essa OST450 Sieve Shaker is supplied as standard complete with a separate IP55 enclosed On/Off control station for installation remote from the unit. An optional extra timer can be included in this control station.

 

Quite operation

The dual drive system results in the relatively quiet operation of the unladen machine. The movement of the material being screened in the sieve stack can create some noise, however an optional sound enclosure for the unit is available.

 

Sieve Master 450 Sieve Shaker

Our heavy-duty Sieve Master 450 brings efficiency and flexibility to your particle size analysis. Configured for manual operation, it is designed to screen medium volumes of samples, including iron ore and coal. It can be fitted with a range of sieve types, allowing you to customise the equipment to perfectly suit your processing needs.

 

Ultimate in screening flexibility

Compatible sieve types for our Sieve Master 450 include 400 mm and 450 mm square, rectangular and circular sieves. Up to eight 450 mm square or rectangular sieves, or up to ten 450 mm circular sieves can be used. This offers the ultimate in sample screening flexibility as well as the option to process samples as and when they are required.

 

Easy control

Precise control of the sieving process is available for operators via a PLC, which offers the complete adjustment of the vibration amplitude as well as the shaking speed, duration, and direction. This high-level control results in a better sieving outcome.

 

Operator safety prioritised

A soundproof enclosure protects operators from unnecessary exposure to noise during the shaking and sieving process. In addition, a range of fail safes keep operators safe from harm during all operational stages. 

 

Octagon 200 Sieve Shaker

Suited to all types of sieving tasks, our Octagon 200 Sieve Shaker is lightweight enough to be portable but has also proven its capability as a robust performer.

 

Excellent separation efficiency

Engineered with an innovative electromagnetic drive combined with a 3D sieving motion, our Octagon 200 Sieve Shaker achieves excellent separation efficiency in only a short period of time.

 

Easy and straightforward operation

A digital display and quick-release clamping system combine to make operation easy for laboratory personnel, and to speed up sample processing.

 

Low maintenance design

Manufactured from robust materials, and with no mechanical moving parts, our Octagon 200 Sieve Shaker requires very little ongoing maintenance. 

 

RO-TAP® Sieve Shakers

Our manual RO-TAP Sieve Shakers provide reliable, accurate and consistent particle size analysis. We have two models available – the RX-29 is designed for testing with 200 mm (8”) diameter test sieves, either six full-height or 13 half-height, and the RX-30 is designed for testing with 300 mm (12”) diameter test sieves, either four full-height or eight half-height. Both models require sieves to be manually loaded for each test run, and the initial sample and the resulting fractions weighed out by hand.

Our RO-TAP Sieve Shakers are suited to laboratory setting applications which require a rotary shaking and tapping action. As proven performers, you can rely on them to consistently deliver accurate results.
