The new production line will have a capacity of 6,200 tonnes per day, making it the largest one in Russia in terms of capacity. The line will feature one of the largest ATOX mills FLSmidth has supplied to date. The ATOX of this size is the second of its kind to be supplied to a Russian plant.

The contract comprises all machinery from crushing to packaging and includes an EV crusher, a raw material homogenising store, an ATOX raw mill, a CF silo, a complete ILC 2-support kiln with one string-5 stage preheater, a SF Cross-Bar cooler, two UMS cement mills and packaging plant with palletising unit.

The order also includes an electrical package with state-of-the-art laboratory and control systems including a RoboLab. As one of the first cement production lines in Russia, the line is also being prepared for a possible later conversion to alternative fuels.

A part of the equipment will be manufactured in Russia by JSC Verhnebakanskiy Cement Plant based on technical specifications from FLSmidth.

"FLSmidth is honoured to have signed this contract for Russia's largest cement production line, which we have won against keen competition. We are glad to see that Russian cement manufacturers choose FLSmidth's cutting edge technology and are preparing for the use of alternative fuels," Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until the equipment has been shipped during 2010.
