A feeder that keeps pneumatic conveying simple and efficient
You asked, we listened. Introducing the all-new V-Series Feeder/Airlock, the latest in FLSmidth pneumatic conveying technology. Simple and efficient, it provides more flexibility and lower costs than conventional feeders.
Traditional feeders for pneumatic conveying systems are high on energy consumption and low on efficiency. They take up a lot of space, require complex control set-up and are generally not all that flexible. Shouldn’t the feeder be as good as the conveying system it’s working with? That was our thinking when we set to work developing the V-Series Feeder/Airlock for pneumatic conveying systems.
And – we did it!
We’re proud to present the V-Series Feeder Airlock, which handles dry, fine powder or granular material at high-pressure differentials up to 29 psig (2 Bar) in dense phase or dilute phase systems. That means that the V-Series Feeder/Airlock can be used for applications where previously a pressure tank system was the only choice. With its large diameter flow channel and high volumetric efficiency, you can achieve efficient linear operation at up to 30 rpm.
Customer satisfaction
The first customer to order our new V-Series Feeder/Airlock has also become our first repeat customer.
Buzzi Unicem USA initially ordered a V-500 Airlock for its cement terminal in Nashville, Tennessee. So satisfied were they with the experience, the company ordered a second unit almost immediately after the first – and four more followed.
Now, there is a V-500 operating successfully at Buzzi’s location in Little Rock and another has been installed at the Dallas Terminal. The company is also the first to order the ceramic version for its Knoxville plant. In total, Buzzi is running six new V-Series Feeders.
