Essa PPH Slurry Sampler


More commonly known as the Horizontal Pressure Pipe Sampler, this unit comprises of a sample probe cutter mounted in the branch pipe of the horizontal pipe. It takes its sample for analysis directly from the slurry that is flowing through the pressure pipe.


It then provides a continuous sample flow for online analysis to enable monitoring of changes in the properties of a process stream. It is a self-contained sampler that works within a pressurised system.

This sampler is known as the Vertical Pressure Pipe Sampler. The sample probe cutter is positioned in the main body of the vertical pipe sampler and it takes the sample material from the slurry product that is flowing through the pipe. It is also a self-contained sampler that is to be installed as part of a pressurised system

Essa Shark Fin Sampler


The Shark Fin is a static cutter whose name comes from the finned shape of the cutter. It extracts a portion of material either automatically or manually directly from the slurry stream.

 

It is useful when a representative falling stream sample is not available. The information retrieved from this sample should only be used for trending purposes. It is generally installed in a non-pressurised section, or close to ambient pressure section, within a horizontal pipe.

As with all our samplers, worker health and safety are of utmost importance. Designed to international pressure pipe standards, our samplers include a range of safety features including safety access screens around control panels, easy access inspection panels and mechanical override switches. The samplers also include inductive sensors to stop the machine operating when it’s not safe.

Essa PPH Slurry Sampler


The horizontal sampler is useful for trending purposes and is normally controlled by an optional pneumatic control valve assembly.

 

It is rubber lined and includes a stainless-steel sample probe. A water flush device cleans the system prior to the next sample being taken, minimising any sample cross-contamination.

 

The sample tube is grade 304 stainless steel and the sampler body is constructed with high-quality painted grade 350 steel, lined with natural rubber and supplied complete with ASME or EN type flanges to allow connection to the existing pipework.

 

To add to its benefits, the provision of a control valve assembly is customisable to meet your requirements.



The Essa PPV Slurry Sampler


Like the horizontal pressure pipe sampler, the vertical pressure pipe sampler usually controls the sample taking by a pneumatic control valve assembly. Again, a water flush function reduces the chance of sample cross-contamination by flushing the system between samples.

 

Like the horizontal, the vertical offers the provision of a control valve assembly in accordance with customer requirements.

 

The sample tube is grade 304 stainless steel and the sampler body is constructed with high-quality painted grade 350 steel, lined with natural rubber and supplied complete with ASME or EN type flanges to allow connection to the existing pipework.

 

It is rubber lined to ensure the sampler body is protected and the stainless-steel sample probe ensures a long lifespan for this unit.



The Essa Shark Fin Sampler


Essa Shark Fin samplers work with a static cutter to extract samples for process trending purposes.

 

This type of sampler is typically installed in a section of a horizontal pipe and the cutter blades can be replaced through an inspection plate at the top of the sampler body.

 

It is manufactured using high quality, painted, grade 350 steel, lined with natural rubber and is flanged mounted to the pipe. The optional outlet valve can be manually or automatically operated to take a sample.

 

It works with process flows that are close to ambient pressure and feeds sample flow to an on-line XRF analyser.

 

The flange-mounted design comes in several models with different sizes to suit a range of pipe diameters.

 

It is compatible with the use of a baffle plate in front of the cutter to improve process flow mixing prior to the sample cut.
