Experience from all parts of the world shows a growing demand for reporting of emission values from the cement industries. Previously, stack emission analysis was often only considered to be a measurement dictated to satisfy local legislation demand. Today however, a large portion of the industry imposes its own even stricter standard as a part of a sustainability program. The measurement of stack emission will in most countries be a demand if waste is burned in the kiln as part of the quest to reduce production cost.
If waste is burned, the feeding will in most cases only be granted if the stack gas analysis system is in full operation. To document the stack emission, conversion to normal values has to be done in what is known as a Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) system. The validation of the data and reporting in the correct format are parts of such a CEM system. FLSmidth has developed a CEM system capable of submitting reports according to any national standard. Please go to the information on ECS/StackGuide for further information.
FLSmidth can supply both the production equipment and know-how to produce at a minimum of emission and the emission gas analysis equipment needed to prove the results.
As local legislative demands and standards may vary greatly, FLSmidth is capable of supplying equipment from a broad range of suppliers. FLSmidth is thus specialised in supplying stack emission analysis to any enforced legislation world wide (EN, TÜV EPA, others). Analysis includes any available technique for temperature, pressure, flow, dust and gas analysis (IR, UR, LUM, FTIR, other).
