Its flexibility and reach allow it to fill small corners or large areas while maintaining a low ground pressure.
The MBBS is also a great alternative to a Radial Stacker. Reducing compaction is desirable while advance stacking heap leach material. Contrary to a Radial Stacker, the MBBS head tracks only operate over a small area, in essentially a straight line, and reduce the effect of compaction.
Each MBBS receives ore from either a Transfer Conveyor, Portable Conveyor, or Mobile Stacking Conveyor and radially advance stacks the ore. The MBBS consists of a bridge section and a boom section. The boom has a telescoping shuttle to reduce indexing frequency. This also allows the operator to stack a smoother pile.
The MBBS is self-propelled and travels while operating under load. Both the tail and head sections are supported by dual-track undercarriages. Track travel during normal operation requires both the tail and head tracks be oriented parallel to the belt travel. Indexing can occur without stopping the flow of ore.
