FLSmidth receives an order from Deutsche Edelstahlwerke for a fully automated pneumatic tube conveyor system
In late 2011, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke, Witten, placed an order with FLSmidth Wuppertal GmbH for engineering and supply of a fully automated pneumatic tube conveyor system with 7 lines for carrying slag and steel samples. The order is being handled by FLSmidth's office in Wuppertal, Germany.
“Choosing FLSmidth was based on their extensive references in the industry and a convincing cost-benefit analysis,” says Dr. Sascha Janosch, Manager Quality Control/Chemie, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke – Witten, Germany. His colleague, Mr. Norbert Arnoldt, Manager Material Analytic, further adds “We need solutions that are reliable, robust and a proven technology that has technical advantages over the competition.”
Commissioning of the sample conveying system will take place in July 2012. For 2013, an extension of the pneumatic tube conveyor system to the production areas vacuum system 3 and pan furnace 3 is being planned.
