Cement customers enhance their knowledge at FLSmidth's International Cement Production Seminar
Every year FLSmidth hosts an International Cement Production Seminar (ICPS) where customers and industry members join to increase their knowledge on cement production processes. The 2011 ICPS has just taken place in Copenhagen.
Participants from all over the world flocked to Copenhagen to join the 44th FLSmidth ICPS where a mix of more than 40 class lecturers undertaken by industry and product specialists, group work and practical experience contributed to extending their knowledge and understanding of the cement production process. What is particularly attractive about FLSmidth's ICPS is the access it provides to FLSmidth specialists and the possibility to acquire extensive knowledge on specific issues. The newly acquired knowledge which the participants gain can be applied directly to the operational challenges they face at their plants and help optimise operations.
The seminar also included visits to Ha Long Cement and Hoang Thach Cement in Vietnam where the participants were able to supplement their theoretical knowledge with practical insight.
FLSmidth and the Technical University of Denmark (www.dtu.dk) work closely together and participants in the seminar benefitted from this partnership as they obtained an insight into the latest methods, technologies and future tendencies in the academic world.
All in all, the seminar was a great success, and happy customers returned to their plants with new ideas and inspiration derived from the knowledge acquired at the seminar.
