Remote Services via online communication from a distance is secure, reliable, flexible and easy to use

Being close to you from a distance...

The FLSmidth's services within automation include Remote Services via direct computer-computer communication, provided that reliable telephone lines or satellite connection, as well as available modem or Internet connection. The set-up gives unique possibilities for system services allowing specialist access to system software from our headquarters in Copenhagen. This way all costs for specialist time and travelling are saved.

The services are offered as individual subscriptions in yearly service agreements.

Establishing a Remote Access Solution
In order to receive efficient Remote Services a fast reliable and secure connection needs to be established from FLSmidth directly to the plant's process control system.
This configuration gives unique possibilities for system services if and when the plant allows a specialist access to the control system from a distance. This saves expensive costs for travelling and specialist time on site.
Access to the plant process control network is established from dedicated PCs only used for Remote Services ensuring that only authorised personnel is allowed access.
With remote access to real-time process mimics, historic trends, diagnostic faceplates and all alarms/events on the plant's control system, it will be possible to receive assistance for troubleshooting, support, engineering, software maintenance and process optimization.
Establishing a Remote Access Solution is a one-time-only purchase.
