Course Description
Objective
Our goal is to provide participants with information covering the understanding of different alternative fuels and how
these affect the process as well as being able to evaluate all process variables in order to stabilize the process and thereby
increase alternative fuel use and optimize the production rates.
Learning objectives
The purpose of the course is to ensure that the operators, process and production engineers obtain a fundamental understanding of all major aspects of alternative fuel usage on cement plants as well as having tools to optimize the fuel costs by having knowledge of alternative fuels and their properties.
Benefits
The participants will have a thorough understanding of how different alternative fuels affect the process and having proper
process control and a full understanding of the equipment and kiln theory the participants will be in a position to optimally
plan implementation of alternative fuels on their plants.

Form
Throughout the course the participants will be working on the theme “alternative fuel opportunities at my plant”. The course is based on classroom lectures by specialists within each field. In connection with each part, the participants will be required to work on the theme.
Documentation
Each participant will receive a binder with a complete set of training materials. In addition, each participant will bring home their own theme report “alternative fuel opportunities at my plant”.
Target Group:
The course is designed for production managers and production engineers with at least one year of experience in the cement
industry, who have a basic knowledge of the cement pyro-process.
