FLSmidth offers two types of Side Scraper Reclaimer; the circular and longitudinal.

The longitudinal side scraper store is used in a production line as a relatively small bulk material buffer store. The store operates with stockpiles placed in line. While building up one pile by cone shell stacking another pile is reclaimed. Both piles can even be stacked in overlapping mode to increase the storage capacity. The material enters the store on a rubber belt conveyor along one side of the store. It is discharged onto a stacker jib which is kept close to the pile crest to reduce dust emission. The Side Scraper is able to handle a capacity of 1,000 t/h and a blending efficiency of 1:6 can be achieved.

 
Reference Longitudinal Side Scraper

This Side Scraper is used in a longitudinal chalk stockyard. It is equipped with a roller table and has a reclaiming capacity of approx. 570 t/h. The boom has a length of 20,5 m and operates at a speed of 0.6 m/sec. The scope of supply also included the following: Belt conveyor, storage for 7,000 tons of chalk filter cakes, wagon loading station.

 The circular side scraper store can be used in a production line as a buffer store for nearly all kinds of bulk material. The maximum capacity is up to 1,500 t/h.
While one pile is reclaimed, the other pile is build up by cone shell stacking. Both piles can even be stacked in overlapping mode to increase the storage capacity.

 

Reference Circular Side Scraper

For a US Paper Manufacturer, KOCH supplied a circular stockyard in South Carolina, USA. The stockyard has a diameter of 90 m and serves to store wood chips. The Side Scraper Reclaimer has a capacity between 25 - 500 t/h. The boom has a length of 43,10 m, scraper blade has a width of 2,500 mm and operates at a speed of 0.6 m/sec.
