Automatic Blaine Analyser

Automatic Blaine analyser AB 800 provides analysis of the Blaine value of the specific surface of pulverized materials in plants and laboratories. Typically it is used for assessment of the Blaine value of the cement. The analyser works on the principle of the evaluation of the permeability of the material bed, the porosity of which is defined through the measured mass and the known volume. This procedure is in compliance with EN196.6 norm.

The analyser is the third generation with many improvements, new features, high operational reliability and excellent results reached in stability tests.

The control system is based on Siemens S7-300 PLC with a touch-screen operator terminal. The software controls the automatic analysis cycle, manual or automatic sample loading and enables local and remote diagnostic, alarm & event reporting, analyser calibration and data presentation.

The connection to an external control system is via Ethernet or Profibus. Remote access to data diagnostic is supported by modem.

Application

The analyser is designed for an installation on operation conditions either in a grinding area or in a plant laboratory. Analyser can work in an on-line mode in a connection with an automatic sampling device and with a pneumatic transport system. It can be also used in a manual (off-line) mode for measuring of samples in common laboratory activities.

The on-line operation means the analyser is working in synchronization with the production under the assumption the time to process the samples and the production time are respected. In the off-line operation the analyser does not participate in the grinding process.
