Bucket Chain Unloader Reference

FLSmidth's MVT ship unloader has a capacity of 1,300 t/h, respectively 1,000 m³ - depending on the material and density - and is able to unload ships of up to 65,000 DWT, but can be built for ships of 160,000 DWT and more.

This kind of ship unloader is suitable for nearly all kinds of bulk materials, like coal, limestone, gypsum, etc. and has a very high efficiency.

Screw Unloader Reference

FLSmidth has installed a Screw type Continuous Ship Unloader for Tata Power Company Limited, Trombay - Mumbai. This unloader unloads the coal (- 80mm) at a rate of 1,500/1,750 t/h from barges at captive jetty of Tata power and feeds the wharf conveyor which in turn discharges the coal into a Pipe Conveyor. The Pipe conveyor feeds the Stockyard inside the Power Plant, which is located about 1.5 km from the jetty.

FLSmidth scope involved the following: Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning inclusive of all Electricals and Instrumentation with PLC. The total machine weight is around 240 T with horizontal boom length of 21 m, vertical screw length of 16 m and rail gauge of 10 m.

Screw Unloader

Grab Unloader Reference

Unloading terminal with 40 ton grab unloader for unloading of coal to serve a 2,100 MW coal fired power station. Handimax vessel of 40,000 DWT up to Capemax size 180,000 DWT can berth on both sides of the wharf for unloading. Transshipping to barges for further inland transport is possible.

The scope of supply also included a belt conveyor system, total length of 5.6 km, belt speed 3.5 m/s, handling rate 3,800 t/h, which transports the coal to the stockyard of the power plant.
