The overflow and underflow launders are constructed of adequately reinforced steel plate. If an elastomer lining is required it will be a minimum of ¼" thick and it will be vulcanized to the steel. The overflow launder is flange mounted to the top of the feed header and the support frame is welded to the feed header wall. The underflow launder is positioned directly under the feed distributor and it is usually designed with a sloping wall to match the inclined angle of the hydrocyclones.
Assembly support designs are designed per UBC guidelines and are analyzed by a qualified structural engineer for operating and seismic loads.
Each system is assigned an engineering manifold number and a file is set up for the fabrication drawings, materials, certifications and, if required, specific welder qualifications.
All design details of the spider manifold system are confirmed by performing a trial assembly prior to rubber lining. Typically the spider systems are sent fully assembled. If field assembly is required bolts will be provided. Absolutely no site welding is required. Detailed assembly drawings and bolts lists are provided for customer support. Each manifold is quality checked prior to shipping to ensure all components meet Krebs established standards.
