The Charging Gas Transfer System (CGT) offers a high quality standard to meet modern environmental requirements. Former problems with emissions from the ram side door during the process of charging the coal cake could now also be solved. The CGT basically consists of a charging gas transfer car with a U-tube, a high pressure water extraction system (feed on liquor), water-chamber-sealing system, and a sealing frame on the stamp-charging-pushing machine or charging machine. By using this special sealing frame on the ram side door it's possible to reduce the gaps through which emissions could have taken place. The charging process in stamp charging is now as free of charging emissions as modern top charging plants. The U-pipe establishes a gas-tight connection over the water chamber, between two ovens.
The charging gases resulting from the water content and the volatile components of the coal cake during feeding the ovens, are transferred via the U-tube into the adjacent oven, and supplied to the gas treatment system .
