FLSmidth's Alternative Fuels group receives award
At the 2nd Global Fuels Conference and Exhibition held in London 4 -5 February, FLSmidth was honoured with first prize in the category: “Most innovative technology for alternative fuel use”
The conference discussed the impact of fuels on process, production, emissions and quality.
GCL Conference Director Robert McCaffrey gave this justification for choosing FLSmidth:
"A difficult decision, the winner of the most innovative technology for alternative fuels went to FLSmidth for its HOTDISC technology. The judges were won over by the fact that the HOTDISC is a major innovation that allows bulky solid alternative fuels to be burnt efficiently. The HOTDISC can also be retrofitted into existing plants, making it a truly elegant engineering solution.”
With the recent HOTDISC order received for the Anhovo plant in Slovenia, the list of HOTDISC projects sold now totals five.
