FLSmidth Automation secures Brazilian minerals plant automation contract
FLSmidth Automation is very pleased to announce the successful award of a contract valued at more than 4 million USD from Anglo Base Metals’ Barro Alto Nickel Project in Brazil.
The contract covers the development of the complete plant control system libraries and total system integration for the various process equipment installed based on FLSmidth Automation’s proven knowledge and extensive global experience.
This important order is the culmination of close cooperation between key personnel within FLSmidth Automation, FLSmidth Minerals and the Barro Alto Project Team and is a significant milestone towards the FLSmidth Group’s One Source Supply initiative. As the first major automation order to be received by FLSmidth Automation from Anglo American, one of the largest mining companies in the world, this contract also establishes FLSmidth Automation as a significant automation supply company in the Minerals Industry.
Other equipment being supplied by FLSmidth Group Companies for the Barro Alto Project include two production lines comprising FLSmidth Minerals dryer/agglomerator systems and rotary kiln systems, FLSmidth Airtech electrostatic precipitators and bag filters and Pfister coal distribution systems
