Features

Ceramic Fibre Blankets are lightweight, efficient high temperature alumina – silica insulations that offer stability at elevated temperatures with high resistance to thermal shock. Durablanket products contain no organics, and are unaffected by most chemicals except hydrofluoric acids, phosphoric acids, and concentrated alkalise. If wet by water or steam thermal and physical properties remain unaffected after drying.

Applications

  • Furnace, Kiln, and Oven Linings
  • Removable Insulating Blankets
  • Appliance Insulation
  • High Temperature Gaskets and Seals

Fiberfrax Durablanket® S ceramic fibre blanket is a strong, lightweight, flexible, needled insulating blanket made from spun ceramic fibers. Durablanket® S has a 2300ºF use limit, and a melting temperature of 3200ºF. Thicknesses range from ¼” to 2”. Fiberfrax Durablanket® 2600 extends the high temperature performance of the Durablanket product line to 2600ºF applications. Fiberfrax Fibermax Mat is a lightweight, (1.5 lb / cubic ft) flexible blanket for applications up to 3000ºF. Fibermax Mat is composed of polycrystalline mullite fibers with virtually no shot. Moist Pak-D insulation is made from high strength ceramic fiber blanket impregnated with inorganic bonding agents. This wet, flexible blanket air dries to form a hard, rigid structure. Moist-Pak D is ideal for insulating complex shapes and for applications experiencing high gas velocities.
