FLSmidth holds a leading position in the field of mine hoist technology through the well known Vecor™ brand.
Vecor mine hoists have figured prominently in the mining industry as FLSmidth has been pioneering both new technologies and new designs. These breakthroughs include the Blair multi-rope hoist, Escort brake control systems, and the new high response closed loop brake control systems.
With this record of accomplishment, it is no surprise that there are more than 630 Vecor hoists installed with drum diameters ranging in size from less than 1 meter to 6.3 meters.
FLSmidth's experience with mine hoists focuses on three principal categories:
