PERI joined FLSmidth

Process Engineering Resources, Inc (PERI) develops, manufactures, and installs on-line slurry analysis systems with over 45 installations. The customer base comprises mining and minerals industries.

PERI has for many years invested in the development and design of on-line slurry XRF analysis systems, and with last year's market break-through these systems are now well accepted by the industry. The activities are mainly handled out of their office in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

"The acquisition of PERI strengthens FLSmidth's competitive position and value proposition as it will be possible to fully integrate proven optimization systems into current product offerings," Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen says.

The business unit Automation of FLSmidth has been pioneering the industry with Advanced Process Control solutions and PERI is an important strategic step to further extend FLSmidth's capabilities within mining and minerals, especially in the non-ferrous segment.

History

PERI formed in April 1996 after GS Technologies refocused its efforts on steel manufacturing and closed its Control International Inc. (CII) business unit. Four of the former employees of CII and Dr. Mark Cross of the University of Greenwich in London purchased the name and assets of CII, forming PERI.

PERI offers solutions for Mining, Mineral processing, & Metallurgical Industry.
