In total, 18 papers on aspects of quality control in the cement industry were presented over two days, covering the subjects of increasing profitability, analysis, alternative fuels, sample preparation and particle size analysis and the use of additives. All presentations were highly qualified and clearly recited.

The FLSmidth group has here been represented by FLSmidth Automation, FLSmidth Autec spol. s.r.o. and pfaff aqs GmbH on a collective booth which has been awarded with the first place for design by the promoters. Content of the pfaff aqs dissertation was the presentation of the new developed automatic mill and press unit “Centaurus”. The fully automatic lab automat is used for the production of sample tablets of grainy samples such as raw meal, clinker, cement, ore, slag, core samples etc. for the XRF and XRD X-ray analysis.
