Link to MAAG Gear Zamech's history

Historical data
1913 Foundation of the MAAG Gear-Wheel Co. by the Zurich engineer Max Maag, Dr. ing. h.c. His aim was not only to supply gears of superior quality and precision, but also to design and build gear production machines.
1989 Foundation of the MAAG Gear Co. Ltd. which started operation on 1 January 1990
1997 F.L.Smidth, the largest Danish industrail engineering group, integrates the new MAAG Gear AG as an independent company. FLSmidth's own gear manufacturing arm MAAG Gear A/S at Copenhagen, Denmark, becomes a member of the MAAG Gear AG group.
2000 The MAAG Gear AG group now includes a gear manufacturer in Elblag, Poland. MAAG Gear Zamech Sp.z.o.o. was acquired from ABB.
2003 After being located for nearly a century at Zurich, MAAG Gear AG moved production facilities and offices successfully to the new location in the Sulzer Industry Park in Winterthur.
