Instant Information Access
With Mobile Notification, you get instant access to any information you wish to provide; device status, production details, lab results troubleshooting information etc. Providing this information eases the communication overhead as everyone can have their information when, where and how they like it.
Troubleshooting
Mobile Notification is ideal for troubleshooting devices that can fail or malfunction. Mobile Notification can notify you of the current status at regular intervals or when something specific fails.
Scheduled Notifications
Scheduled notifications allow you to receive notifications on a regular basis. The plant manager may receive a message with the current production numbers directly on his/her mobile phone. Another example could be the maintenance engineer, who wishes to monitor how the status of a device develops over a certain time period. With scheduled notifications you can completely customize how and when you wish to receive your notifications. You can for example receive events on a regular basis, but excluding weekends.
Event Notifications
An event notification refers to an event in the control system that has been activated according to the profile specified. This allows a user to specify that he/she wish to be notified if a main motor stops or a notification could be sent when a temperature differs from a certain level. There are no limits as to what you can monitor.
Notification on Request
All users of Mobile Notification have the freedom to request information by sending a message to the Mobile Notification system. Moments later, the information will arrive at the mobile phone.
Notification Acknowledgement
Sometimes a message delivery is essential and it must be confirmed. You have several options as to how this could work:
- Using the built-in delivery report that is submitted from the GSM gateway confirming that the message was delivered.
- Asking users to reply to messages, confirming that the message has been delivered and read.
You have the option to create backup users that will receive messages, in case of failure in delivering the message. This ensures that at least one person receives the message.
In a worst case scenario, the operators can be notified through an alarm event in the control system.
