Gateway Solutions

F.L.Smidth Automation has designed several gateway solutions in order to meet common needs of our customers, for connecting control systems to other platforms or products.

A gateway solution consists of the necessary hardware and software licenses, configured and tested by F.L.Smidth Automation specialists.

The gateway solutions are designed for universal uses, but can be specifically configured for your needs. Please contact us for more information.

Migration Gateway

A migration gateway allows you to interconnect two Expert Control Systems of different versions, in order to enjoy the benefits of new features or applications, without being required to upgrade the entire Control System.

The migration gateway is especially useful for using the Utility Suite products on older systems.

Remote Gateway

A remote gateway enable you to allow remote management of your control system and is commonly used in conjunction with a Remote Service agreement.

A remote gateway includes a Terminal Server and a Firewall.

Control System Gateway

A Control System Gateway can interconnect two Control Systems of different makes, normally using the OPC standard for industrial communication. This allows you to enjoy the benefits of several control systems together and is commonly used to enable the use of ECS/ProcessExpert or other F.L.Smidth Automation products, on a third party Control System.
