FLSmidth, Automation division, USA has signed a contract with Ash Grove Cement Company to install the ECS/ProcessExpert^® system at the Foreman Plant. The ECS/ProcessExpert^® and ECS/ Control Center^® systems will be integrated to enhance the automated process control of the kiln, vertical raw mill and vertical OK cement mill, as part of the plant’s new line.

ECS/ProcessExpert^® system is a high level process control solution used to stabilize and then optimize key plant processes, which can be supplied as a complete package or as a flexible toolbox for custom modeling and/or control applications. The latest ECS/ProcessExpert^® applications, including Model Predictive Control (MPC) technology, will be implemented and the commissioning is expected to be finished by the end of 2010.
