Consulting engineering services

FLSmidth offers consulting engineering services in the field of civil, structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical Engineering. These include preliminary Engineering, design and detailed engineering as well as construction management and cost studies.

These services are primarily handled by our offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad, India.

Preliminary engineering
This includes site selection by visiting prospective sites and selection to techno-economically feasible site. The pre-project services also include arranging survey work, soil investigations, water availability studies, assistance in preparation of application to financial institutions, government or other agencies.

Services are offered for advice in collaboration and availability of technologies as well as liaisoning with process consultants as well as other agencies connected with project work.


Design of civil works include basic layout of plant and civil design of non-plant buildings, colonies, road, water supply, drainage, irrigation schemes, sewage disposal schemes, etc.


Structural engineering includes reinforced/prestressed concrete designs and working drawing for foundation and structures subject to dynamic forces. We also design structural steel, super structures and prepare design/fabrication drawings.


Electrical, mechanical and instrumentation engineering includes design for process, textile plants, cements plants as well as other industrial plants.


Preparation of tender documents for complete projects including writing of specifications and preparation of tender drawings, contract form, bill of quantities, inviting and assessing tenders and recommending the best offer to client.
