Multi-Movable Cross-bar Cooler

Simplicity at its best

Simply efficient
As the cooler name indicates, all cross-bars are now movable, which improves clinker transport efficiency and allows the cooler to be installed horizontally. This minimises installation height and, in retrofits, maintains over-grate and kiln-hood velocities. Individual stroke lengths and speeds of the drives make it possible to meet any special challenge in handling the clinker bed.

Simply flexible
Featuring a cassette-based modular design, the Multi-Movable Cross-Bar Cooler is ideal for both new and retrofit installations. Cassettes come in various widths and lengths, and can be combined side by side or end to end to handle any volume of clinker.

Improved transport efficiency

Keeping it simple

Simple design

  • Reciprocating cross-bars for optimum transport efficiency
  • Modular design to fit any casing or foundation
  • Fewer and more durable wear parts
  • Horizontal, stationary grate line
  • Separate clinker conveying and air distribution systems
  • Hydraulic drive unit with dust trap and wear protection

Simple to operate

  • Self-adjusting mechanical flow regulators
  • No manual dampers
  • No internal piping or air beams
  • No sealing air fans

Simple to maintain

  • No moving grates
  • No clinker fall-through
  • No side seals
  • No spillage valves
  • No under-grate conveying system
  • Easy maintenance and replacement of parts

Proven reliable technology

Innovative Cooling Technique
Each and every air distribution plate in the cooler is equipped with a patented rectangular tower containing a weighted regulator. Depending upon the pressure inside the tower, the regulator opens or closes. Because the pressure inside the tower is a measure of the clinker resistance, the regulator opens to compensate for an increase in the "measured" resistance or closes to compensate for a decrease in the "measured" resistance. The regulator serves the same purpose as a piezometer on a cooling fan. The advantage is that no sophisticated controls are required - just physics. It is like having an individual cooling fan for every grate plate in a cooler.

Mechanical Flow Regulator Ensures Constant Air Flow Regardless of Process Conditions

"Grate less"

The grate-line is simply a grid that supports a series of air distribution plates, which have no conveying function. The grid is completely stationary and supports a static layer of clinker. There is no clinker fall-through, and there is no under-grate clinker transport system. The air distribution plates are locked. The grid is sealed, and the chamber below is air-tight.
