FLSmidth receives Royal Danish export award
On 11 June His Royal Highness Prince Henrik awarded five Danish export companies King Frederik the IX’s award for Excellence in Export as recognition of their success on the international market – among these were FLSmidth.

“Common for this year’s receivers of the award is that they export more than 80 percent of their production, three of them even more than 90 percent. Furthermore, several of the companies are successful in markets which traditionally are difficult to enter,” says Henning Dyremose, Chairman of Danish Export Council and Vice Chairman of the committee for Frederik the Ninth’s honour award.

Companies must live up to one of several criteria in order to receive the award. One criterion is that the company has had a significant and continuous increase of their export over a three-year period while another criterion is the entry on a particularly difficult market.

126 years of global presence and dedicated employees
The award was instigated in 1970 by Royal Resolution with the purpose of advancing, supporting and encouraging the export of products and services.

“We are very happy to receive King Frederik the IX’s award for Excellence in Export which we see as an acknowledgement of our more than 126 years on the global arena, the last 100 as an active player on continents all over the world.

However, our international success could not have been achieved without the commitment and efforts of our many colleagues all over the world who contribute strongly to making FLSmidth well-known and well-respected globally,”
comments Group Chief Executive Officer Jørgen Huno Rasmussen.
