Process Simulation Course - Based on Realistic Simulation System 2009 - Denmark
02 November 2009 - 03 November 2009
Process Simulation Course
- Based on Realistic Simulation System
The course is based on the ECS/CEMulator which is the state of the art training system for operators. The course will demonstrate the function of the system and train operation situations by several tutorials.

You will be trained in handling the critical process situations and optimize the daily operation.

Learning Objectives
During the course the participants will handle the simulated operation situations with various types of different main equipment such as kiln, cooler, raw mill, cement mill and coal mill at the cement plant.

Benefits
It is a great advantage to be able to train situations based on tutorials such as starting and stopping of equipment, cyclone blocking, kiln ring formations, mill blockings, fire in coal meal bin and numerous other situations.

The very realistic model trains the operators without having any consequences for the actual plant production and operation. When the trained situations occur in reality at the plant, the operators will be able to handle the situation in a safe and optimal way.

The ECS/CEMulator serves as a natural simulation tool at cement plants for training the operators in realistic operation situations.

Course Contents
- Demonstration and function of the ECS/CEMulator.
- Tutorials for kiln, cooler, vertical and ball mills for raw materials, cement and coal.
• Exercises in normal and abnormal operation to secure high productivity, stable quality,
low energy consumption and safe operation.
• Classroom discussions to improve analytic skills.

Form
The course is hands-on training based on the most realistic simulation system on the marked,
ECS/CEMulator and theoretical classroom tuition.

Documentation
Each participant will receive a binder with a complete set of training materials.
