International Cement Production Seminar 2009 - Denmark
Objective
Our goal is to provide participants with information covering the entire production process and a forum where global cement specialists can benefit from the exchange of ideas.

Target group
This seminar is for production managers, plant managers, general managers and production engineers with at least one year of experience in the cement industry.

Seminar plan
The International Cement Production Seminar consists of more than 30 lectures, group work and discussion groups. The complete seminar is comprised of 3 modules. The main areas of focus are:
• Review of the cement processes
• Function & design of main equipment, including the newest technology methods for optimisation and proposals for improvements, plant modernization and plant operation
• The lectures will be supported by group work.

Module 1: Crushing and grinding of raw materials, coal and cement:

• Types of raw materials
• Crushing and grinding
• Process and equipment for raw material handling
• Homogenisation and storage of raw meal
• Raw material grinding
• Comminution and separation theories
• Grinding theory of vertical mills and roller presses
