Technical feasibility studies
A complete technical feasibility study can be carried out before building a new cement plant or renovating an existing plant. The technical feasibility study may cover infrastructure, raw material deposits, plant requirements, market potential and investment needs. The findings will be complied into a report with conclusions and recommendations.
Quarry evaluation and optimisation
An overall quarry evaluation and optimisation begins with a site visit by a Customer Services consultant. Following the visit, the consultant will complete a report which gives a general evaluation of the quarry and its raw materials and which identifies issues of special concern. During the site visit the Customer Services consultant will assist with:
- Defining raw material production targets
- Studying geological settings of the quarry
- Mapping present quarry lay-out
- Organising quarry operations
- Evaluating replacement parts handling in connection with mobile and stationary quarry equipment
- Organising operational practices for drilling, blasting, loading and transport as well as crushing and stacking.
Chemical laboratory service
Our Chemical Laboratory analyses all raw, intermediate and finished cement materials, and performs physical testing of cement and microscopic and X-ray diffraction investigations.
