The Air to Air Heat Exchanger is designed to cool down the hot excess gas from the clinker cooler prior entering the dust collector and the vent fan.
In the operating of this unit, the exhaust gases from the clinker cooler are vented to the Air to Air Heat Exchanger where they pass through vertical parallel tubes. Cooling is accomplished by forced convection induced by crossflow fans moving ambient air over the outside of the tubes.
