One of the reasons for high efficiency of the GSA is that the reactor has been based on gas suspension technology, meaning that very large concentration of fly ash, dust particles and lime builds up inside the reactor.
FLSmidth Airtech has developed Air Pollution Control systems to meet those requirements. For particulate removal, we are using Electrostatic Precipitators and Fabric Filters and for gas cleaning, we are using semidry and wet type absorber system or a combination of both.
