High voltage systems for Electrostatic Precipitators
The precipitators are energized either by traditional DC energization with thyristor controlled Transformer/Rectifier sets (T/R), advanced compact SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) or by COROMAX™ pulse system (pulse energization) where short duration high voltage pulses repetitively are superimposed upon a DC base voltage. Both types of power supplies comprise a high voltage unit and a control cabinet.

An ESP has also incorporated auxiliary equipment necessary for good operation. Rapping mechanisms are used for dislodging the collected dust particles, and for maintaining clean the discharge electrodes and gas distribution screens. Heaters are also used for avoiding creepeage currents on high voltage insulators and sometimes for avoiding dust deposits on bottom hopper walls.
