Outokumpu Technology in Germany has awarded FLSmidth Airtech a contract for the new CSA Sinter Plant to be built in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

CSA is a joint venture of ThyssenKrupp Steel as major shareholder and Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD).

The contract comprises two electrostatic precipitators, equipped with the unique COROMAX pulse technique, for the sinter band process and one room dedusting precipitator. Start up is scheduled for January 2009. With this order FLSmidth Airtech has secured 6 big orders in Brazil in the last year.
