The RetroCleanTM installation at the CEMEX cement factory in Buñol, Spain was commissioned successfully on March 13th.
The RetroCleanTM filter reuses the casings, hoppers and dust transportation equipment from an existing two chamber electrostatic precipitator, situated on top of a building in a height of 50 metres. Each casing is equipped with 1560 off 7-meter bags. The two casings combined are designed for a gas flow of 530.000 m³/h.
The entire construction was performed in record time using only a 16-day plant shutdown period.
FLSmidth Airtech will install a similar installation for CEMEX in their factory in San Vicente del Raspeig later in 2006.
