F.L.Smidth Airtech has been awarded a contract from Andritz Oy, Finland for the air pollution control equipment for the Santa Fe pulp mill expansion project in Chile.

F.L.Smidth Airtech has been awarded a contract from Andritz Oy, Finland for the air pollution control equipment for the Santa Fe pulp mill expansion project in Chile. This plant is located 500 km south of Santiago and is owned by CMPC Celulosa S.A., a former customer of F.L.Smidth Airtech. Andritz is the main contractor for the pulp mill expansion and supplier of the fibre-line, recovery boiler and lime kiln systems.

The F.L.Smidth Airtech contract includes an EP (engineering and supply) contract including delivery of a three compartment E-type recovery boiler ESP and an E-type lime kiln ESP. For the recovery boiler ESP, F.L.Smidth Airtech will also include detailed design of all duct work and access facilities.

Start-up is scheduled for the autumn of 2006
