Single Path Monitor

Single Path - LaserGas monitor

The Single Path monitor consists of a sender and a receiver unit as well as an electronic unit. The sender and the receiver units are placed opposite each other on the flue duct so that the light from the sender unit will catch the detector in the receiver unit. The absorbance of light sent into the process is an expression of the construction of gas to be analysed.

To keep the optical parts in the monitor clean and cool, the sender and receiver units are continuously supplied with instrument air. An external purge air unit can by used if no instrument air is available.

The monitor can be used in ducts with diameters of 0.5 to 15 meter, by pressure up to 2-3 bars and by temperatures of up to 500°C. Some components can be analysed at 20 bar pressure and at temperatures of up to 1500°C.

Single Path LaserGas Monitor can be delivered for analysis of i.e. O2, CO, CO2, NO, N2O, H2O, HCl, HF, HCN, NH3 , CH4 , C2H2 and H2S.

The development of the monitors is continuously. For this reason, the list of components to be measured using the TDLAS technique is growing from day to day.

Besides the very rugged industrial design, the monitors are noted for

• Minimum service
• No moving parts – minimum use of spare parts
• Ease of use
• Analogue input for temperature and pressure
• Long intervals between calibrations

The most common applications for the SP-monitor is combustion control, deNOX control, explosion surveillance and Scrubber and filter optimisation.
