Cooperation with Ramliya Cement Plant

FLSmidth Airloq has cooperated with Ramliya, an Egyptian cement plant, on a paper with a focus on Ramliya´s experiences with the KilnLoq gas analysis system. The paper will be presented at the 15th Arab-International Cement Conference and Exhibition in Cairo the 18th – 20th of November 2008, and it will be presented by the Plant Manager Mr. Abdel Rahman Outifi who has 20 years of experience within cement production and optimisation.
Abstract

Kiln inlet analyser system for kiln optimisation

A case story from Ramliya cement, Egypt
By Plant Manager Abdel Rahman Outifi

Exhibition hall at the AUCBM conference

After three months of experience with the KilnLoq one pipe probe which is different from all kiln inlet analyser systems the Ramliya team used to work with, we have concluded that this system has several advantages:

· This system is the easiest system from a maintenance view point

· The operating time is higher and more reliable for the kiln application

· The lifetime of this probe seems to be higher that other systems due to the high operating temperature which exceeds the due point of most of the acids and prevents any condensation in the probe, and due to the very reliable extraction system which also extends the probe lifetime.

Thus, we think that this system is the most reliable and practical system we have ever experienced.
